Major Duties (Job Description)

  • Serves as the senior general supply specialist, in charge of managing an effective supply and property management program for the organization.
  • Prepare and coordinate the receipt, handling, and distribution of supplies and equipment.
  • Utilize database systems to trace the location of equipment and manage inventory supplies.
  • Ensure the proper storage, handling, and final disposition of IT equipment.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Assist with the preparation and coordination of the receipt, disposition, and distribution of supplies and equipment; Utilize automated systems to monitor and manage supply inventory and IT equipment; Support in interpreting policies and data to find solutions for supply-related issues; Review inventory reports to assure compliance with all regulations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Inventory Management Supply Planning Technology Application Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
