Major Duties (Job Description)

  • Serves as the Chief of the Doctrine and Collective Training Division, directing all aspects of doctrine development, collective training programs, professional publications, and lessons learned initiatives for Army intelligence.
  • Directs the creation, review, and revision of doctrinal publications to reflect current operational requirements and Army policy.
  • Coordinates with Army commands, joint organizations, and higher headquarters to synchronize doctrine and training efforts.
  • Oversees the application of lessons learned to inform doctrinal updates and Doctrine, Organization, Training, Material, Leadership, Personnel, Facilities (DOTMLPF) capability integration.
  • Supervises professional staff engaged in doctrine, training, and publication development to ensure quality and timely delivery.
  • Represents the division in forums, working groups, and conferences that address doctrine modernization and capability integration.
  • Tracks and assesses doctrinal changes to determine effectiveness in meeting operational and organizational needs.
  • Develops strategic plans to guide doctrine development and collective training in support of Army intelligence modernization.

Experience providing leadership to a team of professionals by planning, organizing, and directing activities to achieve mission objectives. AND 2. Experience coordinating doctrine and training initiatives within the Doctrine, Organization, Training, Material, Leadership, Personnel, Facilities (DOTMLPF) framework to ensure integrated solutions to identified gaps. AND 3. Experience conducting analysis of operational data and lessons learned to recommend updates to doctrinal, training or task-related products. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-13).
