- Serve as Training Specialist, performing training development and course sustainment duties.
- Work closely with Instructional Systems Specialist, Course Mangers and Subject Matter Experts (SME) analyzing, designing, and developing Instructional materials for Aviation related courses.
- Follow Program of Instruction (POI) assisting with preparation of lesson plans for each subject in concert.
- Monitor instruction conducted by the instructional departments to ensure conformity with current approved course control documents.
- Evaluate for applicability, adequacy, technical accuracy and accomplishment of training objectives.
- Maintain audit trails of recommendations, decisions, and directives having an impact on the automated database.
- Conduct validity and reliability studies and surveys of Aviation-related Program of Instruction.

Specialized Experience: Your resume must reflect one year of Specialized Experience which includes: 1) teaching or instructing in an adult education, program such as a college or university 2) planning, writing, editing and developing training materials including Programs of Instruction (POIs) 3) developing and reviewing training/course materials, aids, devices, etc. and evaluation of training results. The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Curriculum Development Learning and Program Evaluation Training and Education Analysis Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
